Arrest warrants issued against Pakistani actress Saba Qamar and singer Bilal Saeed

Lahore Judicial Magistrate has issued arrest warrants for actress Saba Qamar and singer Bilal Saeed for their persistent absence from the case hearing.

Actress Saba Qamar and singer Bilal Saeed are facing a trial for shooting a video in a mosque.

Last year, two artists singer Bilal Saeed and actress Saba Qamar had to face criticism and condemnation on social media for their new song video shooting and dancing at the Masjid Wazir Khan.

The case against actress Saba Qamar and singer Bilal Saeed in connection with the alleged dance at the historic Wazir Khan Mosque, Lahore was registered at Akbari Gate police station at the application of a lawyer Farhat Manzoor.

The FIR registered under section 295 said that actress Saba Qamar and Bilal Saeed had violated the sanctity of the mosque, therefore action should be taken against them.

The two artists also apologized for the incident, while the Auqaf department suspended the mosque manager for allowing the shooting of the song in the mosque.
