Mother along 3 children killed as roof of house collapsed in Orangi

KARCHI Sep 09,2021- A mother and 3 children were killed when the roof of  house collapsed in Orangi Town in the Karachi West district.

According to Senior Superintendent of Police West Karachi, Suhai Aziz, the incident occurred accidentally in street No. 15 of MPR Colony of Qasba Town Colony due to accumulation of rainwater.

SSP Sahai Aziz told media that rain water from last night had accumulated in the area and water had entered the house.

Rasool Saeed, the owner of the house, and other family members came out of the house due to water entering the house. However, Naseeb Hawa and her children were asleep in the room when the house collapsed.

According to police, the incident took place in the early hours of the morning.

Upon receiving the report, police, Rangers and rescue agencies rushed to the spot and started removing debris from the collapsed house.

The bodies of four people were initially found in the wreckage, including Naseeb Hawa and her three children.

According to SSP Suhai Aziz, a 10-year-old child was also pulled out of the wreckage with injuries.

The four dead and injured children have been shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital by ambulances.
