Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan announced the dissolution of the Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assemblies on December 23.
Imran Khan speaking through video link along with Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan in Lahore said that we are sacrificing two assemblies, we have decided to dissolve both assemblies next Friday. He will go in front of the Speaker in the National Assembly and ask him to accept his resignation.
He said that today Pervaiz Elahi and Mahmood Khan are sitting with me, today a very important decision has to be announced, unless there is a transparent election, there is fear that the country will sink.

The PTI Chairman then alleged that General Bajwa is the only person behind the removal of the functioning good government by external conspiracy.
Imran Khan said that BAP and MQM went where they were ordered and our government fell. So they were not.
