Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa returns discretionary funds
PESHAWAR Oct 02,2021- Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Shah Farman took an unusual step by returning the discretionary fund to the provincial government.
Every year, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shah Farman received funds for the development of the merged districts.
During the last 3 years, Rs 96 million was deposited in the Governor’s account.
Governor Shah Farman has not used the discretionary fund during the last two years.
According to the Governor House Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the use of this fund was purely at the discretion of the Governor.
In this regard, Governor KPK Shah Farman said that now the use of the fund is the responsibility of the provincial government, the government should spend this fund on the development and prosperity of the tribes.
In February 2021, Prime Minister Imran Khan reconciled Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan, Governor Shah Farman and a provincial minister Atif Khan.
