For the first time in history Pakistan return Hajj quota to Saudi Arabia

For the first time in the history of Pakistan, Hajj quota was returned to Saudi Arabia.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has said that the quota of 8,000 pilgrims of the government scheme has been returned.

According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the Hajj quota had to be returned due to receiving fewer applications under the government scheme.

Had the Hajj quota not been returned, an additional $24 million would have been paid in accommodation rent and other expenses.

Sources say that due to the expensive Hajj, Pakistanis submitted less applications, the federal cabinet decided to return the Hajj quota.
