Every Pakistani misses Daughter of the East, Bilawal Remembers Benazir Bhutto on birth anniversary

KARACHI, (June 20, 2021): Remembering Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto on the occasion of her 68th birth anniversary, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that today when the governance of Pakistan has derailed, and the institutions, as well as the people of the country, are at the mercy of ruthless cartels, it is but natural for every Pakistani to miss the Daughter of the East. Her vision for the country’s future was one every patriot of our nation dreams of even today.

In a statement issued from the Media Cell Bilawal House, the Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari paid tribute to Benazir Bhutto – the Islamic world’s first elected Prime Minister.

“No matter how many years or centuries pass, Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto’s struggle, great sacrifices, and humanitarian philosophy are eternal. Due to  efforts she made in her lifetime, the day isn’t far when Pakistan achieves a stature of victory on an international level.”

Paying homage to Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto in eloquent words, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed that she is not solely Pakistan’s former Prime Minister; she is the name of a movement. He further said that such movements make a mark in the history of the world and are responsible for the birth of new progressive eras.

“Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto fostered democratic thinking at the grassroots level,” declared Chairman PPP. “As an elected Prime Minister, she supported the supremacy of the Constitution and Parliament. Simultaneously, she created institutions for people-friendly governance and ensured access to fundamental rights such as education, health, and employment for the underprivileged.”

Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also spoke of the game-changing programs and legislations the former Prime Minister introduced for the welfare of women, children, minorities, and workers. “Whether she was in the government or the opposition, Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto always remained a symbol of hope for the people,” he said.

Speaking of the struggles faced by the former PM during her life, Chairman PPP added that humanity is ashamed of the atrocities committed against Benazir Bhutto by the anti-people forces. These forces are also responsible for killing her father, two brothers, and countless comrades. He also spoke about the false accusations and propaganda that were created to tarnish her reputation.

“Benazir Bhutto was subjected to extreme persecution because the oppressors knew that the daughter of the East was not only the inheritor of Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s intellectual struggle. But was also a follower of Quaid-e-Azam’s vision and ideology,” stated Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

Praising people’s love and loyalty for the daughter of the East, Chairman PPP said that he is grateful to everyone who did not allow Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto’s legacy to be forgotten even for a moment. “History has revealed that the Pakistani nation never forgets its well-wishers, nor does it make mistakes in recognizing its enemies.”

Chairman PPP assured the nation that he would continue his struggle to fulfill the unfinished mission of his martyred mother to strengthen democracy and make Pakistan prosperous. “Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto is a symbol of hope against dictatorship, terrorism, and extremism,” he stated. “And I will carry her life’s mission forward.”
