ISLAMABAD (june2, 2021): Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood has said that examinations will definitely be held this year and has decided to start ninth and eleventh classes.

A meeting of inter-provincial education ministers was held in Islamabad, presided over by the Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood, and attended by all the provincial education ministers.

Addressing a press conference after the meeting, Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood said that all education decisions have been unanimously made in the meeting of provincial ministers.

He said that the complaint of the students was genuine and the course could not be completed.

Shafqat Mahmood said that the ninth and tenth examinations will be in four subjects, the examinations will be for elective subjects and mathematics only, the examinations for the remaining subjects will not be taken in the ninth and tenth examinations.

Decisions after consultations 

Federal Minister said that it is not easy for any government to close educational institutions. Decisions regarding educational institutions were taken in consultation with all the provinces. In case of an epidemic, the decision to open educational institutions is not easy.

The Minister of Education said “In our education system, students study two months before the exam. We have made some changes in our decisions,” Shafqat Mahmood said.

Without exams no grades

He said that it was decided that without examinations there would be no grades, tenth and twelfth exams would be first, ninth and eleventh exams would be later, Cambridge decided to have a special exam for O level children.
