Air Pollution: Lahore stood second and Karachi fourth

ISLAMABAD, Nov 23, 2021

Central Punjab is still in the grip of severe air pollution. Lahore is the second largest city in Pakistan in terms of air pollution.

 According to the Air Quality Index, air pollution in Lahore has been recorded at 298 particulate meters. 

According to the Air Quality Index, Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, tops the list with 317 precursor meters.

The Indian capital, Delhi, is third with 218 percussion meters, Karachi is fourth with 187 percussion meters and the Indian city of Kolkata is fifth with 185 percussion meters.

According to the Air Quality Index, the most polluted air in Pakistan at present is Raiwind where the number of precipitation meters is 403 at present.

Faisalabad is second in the list with 397 precursor meters and Sahiwal is third with 379 precursors.

 According to the Air Quality Index classification, 151 to 200 degrees of pollution is harmful to health.

According to the Air Quality Index, 201 to 300 degrees of pollution is extremely harmful to health, while more than 301 degrees indicates dangerous pollution.
