3 security personnel martyred & 20 others injured in Quetta suicide bomb blast

QUETTA Sep 05,2021- At least three security personnel were martyred and 20 others injured in a suicide bomb blast on Mastung Road in Quetta on Sunday morning.

All the injured and bodies have been shifted to Sheikh Zayed Hospital. Quetta police said, the blast on Mastung Road was a suicide, for which evidence has been collected.

According to police, the blast took place near a local police station on Mastung Road, killing three people and injuring more than 20 others, Deputy Inspector General of Quetta police Azhar Akram confirmed.

The bodies of the dead and injured have been shifted to the hospital.

Apart from rescue teams, CTD and bomb disposal squads rushed to the spot after the blast and started investigation.

Police said, initial evidence suggests the blast was a suicide bombing, and the bomber’s head and other body parts have been seized.

According to police officials, the suicide bomber was riding a motorcycle which he collided with a law enforcement vehicle.

Around two weeks back three Levies personnel were martyred and as many injured when their vehicle hit a landmine in the province’s Ziarat district.

Earlier, a Pakistan Army captain was martyred and two soldiers injured when their vehicle hit an improvised explosive device planted by terrorists in the Gichik area.
