NHC approves construction of Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah urged the federal government to construct Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway – M6.

Sindh Chief Minister said, Sukkur-Hyderabad M6 Motorway is very important, it was neglected in the CPEC project, we want the work on M6 to be started soon.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah met Federal Minister for Communications Asad Mahmood while Federal Minister Khurshid Shah participated through video link.

The construction of Sukkur, Hyderabad Motorway and Jamshoro Sewhan Road were discussed in the meeting. The Chief Minister said that Sukkur Hyderabad Motorway is included in the federal PSDP.

Sindh Chief Minister told Federal Minister Asad Mahmood that 1.37 trillion rupees will be spent on the construction of Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway, and wrote 6 letters for the construction of Jamshoro Sewhan Road from 2018 to 2022.

The Chief Minister said that one letter was written to Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, four to Imran Khan and one to Shehbaz Sharif.

He said that in 2018, he wrote to Imran Khan that 225 accidents have occurred on Jamshoro Sewhan Road in which 196 people died and 225 were injured.

Jamshoro – Sewhan Road

The Chief Minister said that Jamshoro – Sewhan Road belongs to NHA, the Federation agreed on Jamshoro – Sewhan Road only when the Sindh government paid 7 billion rupees.

He said that the foundation stone of Jamshoro – Sewhan Road was laid in 2017, many lives were lost in accidents on this road, the road could not be constructed, he wrote the last letter to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to construct Jamshoro – Sewhan Road.

The Sindh Chief Minister said that the Prime Minister should give instructions to the NHA to complete the construction of the road.
