KARACHI, Jan 22,2022 – The death toll rose to six in various accidents occurred in Karachi due to strong winds blowing since yesterday.

According to police, a man sleeping on the sidewalk in Dhoraji Colony area of ​​Bahadurabad was killed when the wall blocks fell due to strong winds.

The deceased was a 40-year-old drug addict and a resident of Pahlwan Goth.

Earlier, due to strong winds blowing in the city, roofs, walls and electricity poles of shops and houses collapsed and five people including three children were killed and three others were injured.

A minor Abdul Rehman died when the wall of his house collapsed near Gulshan-e-Kaniz Fatima Society in Surjani Town.

A 5-year-old Farman son of Shams-ur-Rehman was injured when a wall collapsed near Ayesha Mosque in Raja Tanveer Colony area of ​​Orangi Town Iqbal Market.  He succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

One person was killed when a wall of his house collapsed near the office of Gulshan-e-Maymar Anwar Murree Goth Water Board. The 45-year-old deceased could not be immediately identified.

According to police, the deceased was identified as 55-year-old Faqir Hussain son of Manzoor Hussain.

A man was killed under the rubble when a wall of a library collapsed near North Nazimabad Block L.

According to police, the body was identified as 60-year-old Ratan ul Bagh at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

A part of the roof collapsed in Mowach Goth area of ​​Mochko, injuring two persons including a woman who were rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

The Meteorological Department has forecast that the temperature in the city will drop below 10 degrees Celsius from today due to the storm. The cold will continue in the city till January 27.
