KARACHI (June 3, 2021): Sindh government in a bid to launch massive vaccination and expedite drive have sought the help and services of all ministers, lawmakers, officials and political leaders in Sindh against coronavirus.

Provincial Minister for Health and Population, Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho told media and added that PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will personally oversee the vaccine campaign in Sindh.

Mobile vaccination service

Addressing a press conference at the Sindh Assembly Auditorium along with Provincial Minister for Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, and Parliamentary Secretary for Health Qasim Siraj Soomro Health Minister Dr. Azra Pechuho said that a mobile vaccination service is also being launched in Sindh to prevent coronary heart disease, with a target of vaccinating 18 million people in the next three months.

Vaccination of 70% people is necessary

Sindh Health Minister said that vaccination of 70% people is necessary to increase herd immunity. The current situation is that the number of cases in Sindh is 26%. Earlier cases were increasing in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa but now the graph of cases in Sindh is down. Not coming

So far 1.5 million people in Sindh have been vaccinated which is 6.5% of the population. The province has a population of 17.26 million people over 30 years of age. Vaccination of people under 30 years of age after vaccination. The ratio will increase.

Cooperation from all walks of life,

Dr. Azra Pechuho said that for vaccination we have talked to people from all walks of life, businessmen, various religious communities like Dawoodi Bohra Jamaat, Aga Khan community etc. are also in touch and they assured full cooperation with Sindh government.

Businessmen and industrialists will also be required to vaccinate their workers. In this regard, the provincial government has made arrangements to vaccinate in large shopping malls, wedding halls, stores, every citizen can go to any center and get vaccinated.

The provincial health minister further said that whatever vaccine is coming to the federal government, we are constantly vaccinating the people. We have the contact numbers of all the people. The health department has started contacting them to apply the second dose.

She appealed that the vaccine is safe. Those who have not received the second dose can still go to any center and get the vaccine.

Curfew has also been imposed in many countries, with the opening and closing of shops not making much of an economic difference.

To a question, Dr. Azra Pechuho said that the examinations are going to be held in July, the decision to reopen the schools has not been taken yet but the teachers in the schools are speeding up the vaccination to help restore the teaching process as soon as possible.
