Sindh far ahead from other provinces in individual income

Nasir Shah rebuts opponents criticism Defends PPP

KARACHI: Sindh Information Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah has said that Sindh is far ahead from other provinces in individual income in Pakistan.

He said that according to the Macro Pakistan survey, Sindh has the highest individual income in Pakistan, also known as ‘per capita GDP income’.

The average income of urban and rural areas of Sindh is much higher than the urban and rural areas of any other province of Pakistan.

Sindh’s current urban GDP per capita income is more than seven and a half thousand dollars, while in South Asian countries this income is much less than that which is about six and a half thousand dollars. Punjab is second only to Sindh but far behind.
