Sindh calls army to implement SOPs

Smart lockdown in 4 towns of Karachi Central , 17 areas of Hyderabad 

KARACHI: The Sindh government has written a letter to the federal interior Ministry seeking the services of the Pakistan Army to implement the SOPs.

The provincial government became active after the spread of the corona virus increased in Sindh.

Under Article 245 of the Constitution, the Government of Sindh requested the services of the Pakistan Army through a letter to the Home Ministry.

The letter said the services of the Pakistan Army were needed to assist the civil administration in implementing the Corona SOPs.

The Sindh government said it would be inform after consultation on troop deployment and equipment.

Hyderabad

Smart lockdown has been enforced in more than 17 areas of Hyderabad from today till May 5.

It should be noted that 923 more cases of corona virus have been reported in Sindh yesterday while 6 people died due to this epidemic.

Karachi Central

Micro-smart lockdown has been imposed in four towns of Karachi Central District till May 8.

These include residential units in Gulberg, North Karachi, Liaquatabad and North Nazimabad. Unnecessary pillion riding and family gatherings will also be banned in the affected areas of the city.

10 million vaccines

The Sindh government has ordered 10 million vaccines and hopes it will arrive soon.

Nasir Shah

Talking at a TV program Sindh Information Minister Nasir Hussain Shah said that the provincial government is ready and if the situation in Corona worsens, they will lock it down.

If the situation turns alarming, we will impose a lockdown, whether the federal imposes it or not, Sindh minster added a lockdown or not because people’s lives are more precious.

On Saturday evening KPK government through a letter requested to deploy army in the province to assist the civil administration in implementing the Corona SOPs.
