KARACHI, May 13,2022- Sindh high Court upheld sentence of terrorist Nadir Ali alias Murshid and Furqan and rejected the appeal of two convicts in Sehwan blast case.

More than 80 people were killed and more than 120 were injured in the incident, prosecutor Iqbal Awan said and added that modern evidence including CCTV were presented against the accused.

The trial court sentenced both Nadir and Furqan 80 times death in 2020.

The court had sentenced the accused 82 years imprisonment for violating the sanctity of the shrine Lal Shahbaz Qalandar.

Five accused including Abdul Sattar and Ijaz Tanveer are still absconding in the case.

In 2017, a terrorist had carried out a suicide bombing inside a shrine in Sehwan Sharif, the public prosecutor said.

The arrested accused had confessed to the crime, the public prosecutor said.

The court issued permanent arrest warrants for five fugitives.

Both the convicts belong to the banned organization ISIS, police said
