Shah Abdul Latif University inks MoU with Metrological Department

ISLAMABAD Sep 26,2021- Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur inked a MoU – Memorandum of Understanding with Pakistan Metrological Department at its Headquarter, Islamabad.

Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto Vice Chancellor Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur and Muhammad Riaz, Director General, Pakistan Metrological Department, Islamabad signed the MoU.

Under this agreement, Pakistan Metrological Department will establish Metrological Observatory at the Department of Geography, SALU, Khairpur for provision of timely weather forecast and early weather warning in the region.

Shah Latif University inks MOU with SDPI engaging academia in policy sphere

The prime objective of this Metrological Observatory is aimed at to provide Metrological, Agro-Metrological weather updates. Wherein the agreement is also to enhance the collaborative research activities between the two prestigious institutions. This will also foster the linkage between Pakistan Metrological Department and the academia.

Dr. Muhammad Tahir Khan, Director Pakistan Metrological Department and Dr. Noor Hassan Chandio, Incharge, Department of Geography were present in the MoU signing ceremony.
