LAHORE: Senior director and producer of Pakistan film industry, Syed Suleiman alias S Suleiman, after a protracted illness passed away. He was 80.

Suleiman’s wife Zarrin Panahin is also Kathak dancer and well-known actress.

The family says that the film director S. Suleiman had paralysis and was also suffering from diabetes.

 Film director Syed Suleiman was the younger brother of former film actors Santosh Kumar and Darpan.

Born in Hyderabad Deccan, India, S. Suleiman directed more than 60 films, while his first film, Gulfam, was released in 1961.

The films he has directed include Anari, Zeenat and Baji.

Uff ye Biwyaan, Mohobat, Aag, Jesy janty nhe, Lori, Teri Soorat Meri Aankheen, and Insaniyat are much known and popular film.

As a director, his last released film was Very Good Dunia Very Bad Log, which was released in 1998.

In 2004, he directed Abdullah Kadwani, Salman Naini Talwala and Humayun Saeed’s personal drama serial Anna, which was liked nationwide.

Later, under his direction, ‘Kachh Dil Ne Kaha’ was aired on TV in 2006.
