Punjab MPA ready to be complainant: 9 people murder case

The Punjab Assembly member, Mumtaz Chang agreed to become a complainant murder case of nine people in Mahi Chow Sadiqabad tehsil of Punjab province after the complainant refused to join the investigation and testify.

Mumtaz Chang said that the Indhar gang has issued threats of dire consequences for supporting the victims.

The new twist in the case of nine people killed four days ago, came when the victim’s brother refused to be involved in the case and said that he did not want to quarrel with anyone, leaving the matter to Allah Almighty.

Police said they are examining the legal implications of the complainant’s refusal. The suspects alleged the victims of being informers, so they killed them in retaliation.

Punjab Assembly member Mumtaz Chang while addressing a press conference said that the heirs of the slain are noble people, therefore, “I am ready to become a complainant.”

“My request for security sent to the court and the police has reached the Indhar gang and the Indhar gang has sent me the documents of the same request with threats,” he added.

Mumtaz Chang also said that Indhar gang has issued threats of dire consequences for supporting the victims. “I live in Punjab but Sindh police has provided security,” the Punjab MPA said.

DSP Sadiqabad said that two accused have been identified with the help of CCTV footage.

He said that police was present in Bhong and Machka and no arrest had been made so far.

Nine people, including at least six members of the same family, have been killed in a shooting incident in Sadiqabad Tehsil of Rahim Yar Khan District in southern Punjab.

The incident took place in Mahi Chowk area of ​​Sadiqabad which is within the limits of Kot Sabzal police station. Kot Sabzal is a border town of Punjab and Sindh.
