Prisoners in Sindh to be vaccinated
KARACHI: From the 7th of April, 2021 (Wednesday), the Sindh Health Department will begin vaccinating prisoners over the age of 50.
This anti COVID vaccination drive is designed to specifically benefit those who are in prison as this was a section of society that is highly vulnerable and neglected.
It was already announced in the Ministers’ Press Conference on 30th March, 2021, that registration for the over 50’s getting vaccinated would be open all over Sindh.
However, the Sindh Minister for Health and Population Welfare, Sindh, has decided that in order to ensure every vulnerable demographic is vaccinated as rapidly as possible, the population in prisons cannot be ignored.
The drive to vaccinate prisoners over the age of 50, against covid, begins on the 7th of April, 2021. All over Sindh 2532 prisoners will be vaccinated.
