Announces nationwide protest against price hike

KARACHI Dec 02,2021- The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has announced a nationwide protest against rising inflation and rising oil prices hike in the country.  

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has directed that protests be held on December 10 in different cities and villages including Karachi, Lahore and Peshawar while the main highways of the cities be closed.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that there will be demonstrations against gas shortage on December 17 while the next protest schedule will be announced on December 27 at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh rally.

Bilawal rejects EVM election, says IMF deal is illegal

It may be noted that the price of petrol has come down globally but not in Pakistan. The government has increased petroleum development levy and sales tax on petrol and diesel while maintaining petrol and diesel prices.

The government is levying a tax of Rs 27.29 per liter on petrol and Rs 33.38 per liter on diesel.
