PPP preparing political power show in Karachi on Oct 17

KARACHI Oct 03,2021 – The Pakistan Peoples Party has intensified preparations for the political power show in Karachi, and has announced public meeting on October 17 at Jinnah Bagh adjacent to Mazar-e-Quaid’s

Preparations have started by PPP Sindh for a public meeting at Bagh-e-Jinnah on Sunday, October 17, 2021 to pay homage to the martyrs of the October 18 Karsaz tragedy.

On 18 October 2007 the motorcade carrying former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto was attacked with bombing Karsaz, Karachi, Pakistan.

The bombing occurred two months before she was assassinated. The bombing resulted in at least 200 deaths and 500 injuries. Most of the dead were members of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).

President PPP Karachi division and Provincial Minister Saeed Ghani visited Bagh Jinnah Ground on Sunday.

He was accompanied by General Secretary PPP Karachi Division Javed Naguri, Information Secretary Karachi Division and Provincial Minister Shehla Raza, Noman Sheikh, Sardar Khan, Asif Khan, Iqbal Sand, Lala Rahim and others.

Saeed Ghani along with other party leaders from Karachi inspected the venue and consulted on other preparations, including the stage.

Saeed Ghani said that a public meeting will be held on October 17 to pay homage to the martyrs.

Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, PPP central and provincial leaders will attend the public meeting. Preparations for the general meeting have been started and in this regard, applications have been submitted to the Deputy Commissioners and others concerned officials for permission, said Saeed Ghani and added that Inshallah, the meeting on October 17 will be a historic meeting.
