KARACHI Jul-24,2021- The seventh edition of the Pakistan Super League, Pakistan’s largest cricket festival, will be held in January-February next year.

According to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), a consensus was reached between the Pakistan Cricket Board and the franchisees, and a teleconference was held between the PCB officials and the franchisees.

The teleconference was attended by Chief Executive Wasim Khan and COO Salman Naseer, GM Commercial Imran Ahmed Khan and PSL Senior General Manager Operations Usman Wahla. The representatives of all franchises also attended the meeting.

The two sides discussed the new commercial rights and its modalities, while reviewing the rights evaluation framework, the statement said.

Sources said that due to the weather in January-February, the seventh edition of PSL is more likely to be held in Karachi while the venue of UAE is also not ruled out.

The PSL edition has to be completed before February 15, before the Australian team’s scheduled tour, so the event can also be planned in the UAE.

The PCB said that Chairman Ehsan Mani had already said that the seventh edition would be held entirely in Pakistan, the matches would start in Karachi due to the weather and would end in Punjab.

It should be noted that 6 seasons of Pakistan Super League have been successfully completed. Season 6 of the PSL was postponed this year due to an increase in Corona cases, which was later completed in June last year.

The Multan Sultans, led by Mohammad Rizwan, Won the PSL-6.
