PFUJ shows concerns over non bailable warrants against journalists

Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists PFUJ has shown serious concerns over issuance of non bailable warrants against three Samaa TV journalist and said they be given a chance to appear before court to present their point of view .

Local court of Karachi has issued warrants against three Samaa TV journalists Farhan Malik, anchor Kiran Naz and reporter Sanjay Sadhwani besides Owners of TV network. Complaint has been lodged by Sindh Minister for information Saeed Ghani.

Court issues non bailable warrants against Samma TV

PFUJ President Shahzada Zulfiqar and Secretary General Nasir Zaidi called upon the provincial minister for showing restraint as PPP leadership has always respected freedom of press and expression.

They said that media in the country is already suffering due to sensorship and advices given by federal government and this trend will further harm state of media freedom.
