Perera become first Lankan cricketer to hit 6 sixes in an over

COLOMBO: All-rounder Thisara Perera has become the first Sri Lankan cricketer to hit six sixes in an over.

According to foreign media reports, the Sri Lankan all-rounder performed this feat in a List A match in domestic cricket.

Sri Lankan Army captain Thisara Perera did not allow Bloomfield Cricket and Athletic Club spin bowler Dillahan Kore to walk. When he started firing, he hit sixes on all six balls of an over, not one, two or three during a domestic tournament.

In his innings, he played a brilliant innings of 52 off 13 balls.

Remember that this is the first time in any kind of cricket that a Sri Lankan player has hit six sixes in a single over.

At the same time, Pereira joined the short list of players who hit six sixes in a single over.

The list includes Gary Sobers, Ravi Shastri, Herschel Gibbs, Yuvraj Singh, Ross Whitley, Hazratullah Zazai, Leo Carter and Caron Pollard.
