PDM was not ready for senate and bye elections: Shehla Raza

HYDERABAD: Sindh Minister for Women’s Development Syeda Shehla Raza has said that Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) was not only ready for the Senate and by-elections, they participated in the elections at our request.

Talking to media in Hyderabad on Saturday, Shehla Raza said that Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had an open meeting with Jamaat-e-Islami. She said that PML-N in Punjab made seat adjustment with PML-Q but did not consult us.

Shehla Raza added that she wants to work for women living in Darulaman.

Meanwhile, Central Secretary Information PPP Parliamentarians Shazia Mari said that the election of Yousuf Raza Gilani as the Leader of the Opposition in the Senate will enhance the prestige of the upper house.

In a statement she said that the majority of the opposition members in the Senate are from the PPP.

She said that the position of Leader of the Opposition in the Senate was a democratic and moral right of the PPP.
