NICVD treated 1.9 million patients absolutely free at in 2021.

KARACHI, Jan 14,2022 – NICVD has treated 1.9 million patients absolutely free at its 10 centers in 2021.

This was told at a meeting of NICVD Board chaired by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah

The meeting was informed that at NICVD Karachi 959550, Sukkur 196103, Tando Muhammad Khan 153345, Larkana 106502, Hyderabad 90297, Lyari 48082, Nawabshah 22687, Mithi 27772, Khairpur 39800 and Sehwan 20278 patients were treated.

Dr. Nadeem Qamar briefed the meeting that in NICVD Karachi in 2021, 11575 agioplastics, 16186 angiographies, 1615 heart bypass, 1077 pediatric cardiac surgeries and 1065 pediatric Keith / Interventions were performed.

In 2021, NICVD Sukkur underwent 337 heart bypass, 3063 angioplastics and 4286 angiographies.

191 bypasses, 2145 agioplastics, 2793 geographies performed at NICVD Tando Muhammad Khan.

Thus 11 bypasses in NICVD Larkana, 1535 agoplastics war 1947 agiographies were done.

Earlier, heart bypass was not even imagined in Sukkur, Tando Muhammad Khan, Larkana and other cities, Sindh Chief Minister said.
