ISLAMABAD- Jul -20,2021- The National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) has expressed satisfaction over the additional steps taken by the Sindh government to control the corona virus.

A meeting of the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) was held here on Tuesday, under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar, reviewed the situation.

According to a statement issued by the NCOC, the NCOC expressed satisfaction over the additional steps taken by the Sindh government.

The meeting was briefed on increasing the vaccination capacity and it was informed that at present 5 lakh vaccines are being administered in the country daily.

It was informed in the meeting that vaccination centers across the country would remain closed only on the day of Eid-ul-Adha.

According to the NCOC statement, 500 oxygen cylinders and 30 ventilators have been added in Gilgit-Baltistan.

The NCOC was told that ample amount of Moderna vaccine has been provided to the vaccination centers, people going abroad and students can now easily get Moderna vaccine.

It was informed at the NCOC meeting that implementation of specific SOPs related to Eid-ul-Adha prayers and sacrifices is important.

During the meeting, instructions were issued by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) to the administrations of all the provinces to ensure implementation of SOPs.

Corona cases increase in Balochistan

Meanwhile, in Balochistan, the rate of spread of corona has increased from 4% to 6% while in Quetta the rate has increased from 1% to 3% in last 24 hours.

According to a report released by the Balochistan Health Department, 1131 people were tested for corona in 10 districts of the province on Monday. As a result of corona tests conducted in the province, 67 positive cases have come to light.
