Dec 06,2021 Monitoring Desk -Aung San Suu Kyi has been convicted for inciting people against the military and violating Corona laws.

According to foreign news agency sources, Aung San Suu Kyi was sentenced to two years in prison under section 505 (b) and two years under the Natural Disasters Act.

Aung San Suu Kyi, 76, has been in prison since the military overthrew her government.

Journalists were barred from covering the case in a special court set up by the military, and Aung San Suu Kyi’s lawyers were recently barred from speaking to the media.

During Aung San Suu Kyi’s rule, Rohingya Muslims were massacred between 2016 and 2017, leading to widespread criticism of the Myanmar government and the withdrawal of the Nobel Peace Prize from Suu Kyi.
