Medicines more expensive up to 20%

ISLAMABAD, Apr 29,2023- (News Agencies) The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) has approved increase in the price of medicines by 14 to 20 percent.

The ECC approved the re-opening of the Roosevelt Hotel, the purchase of wheat to Sindh at the rate of Rs 4,000 per maund and the provision of a technical supplementary grant of Rs 45 crore to the Home Ministry.

Re-opening of the Roosevelt Hotel

The Economic Coordination Committee was told that the New York government was willing to rent the Roosevelt Hotel for $200 per room per day. A meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee of the Cabinet was held on Friday under the chairmanship of Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar.

ECC approved the recommendations of Ministry of Aviation for reopening of Roosevelt Hotel New York, ECC also authorized use of available funds of 1.145 million dollars for reopening of Roosevelt Hotel.
