Maulana Abdul Aziz booked for issuing threats to police

ISLAMABAD Sep 18,2021- Islamabad Police have registered a case against Jamia Hafsa administrators and former Khatib Maulana Abdul Aziz in Islamabad for issuing threats to police personnel.

The case includes sections for illegal possession of firearms, incitement and intimidation. Police sources said that Maulana Abdul Aziz had threatened the policemen outside Jamia Hafsa.

The policemen had gone there to remove the flag of Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan hoisted on the Jamia.

Earlier, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Hamza Shafqat while talking to media had clarified that hoisting the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan flag in Islamabad would not be allowed and action would be taken against culprits.
