Lahore High Court reinstates Parvez Elahi as Chief Minister

Lahore High Court reinstated Parvez Elahi as Chief Minister of Punjab. The court reinstated Pervaiz Elahi on his undertaking not to dissolve the assembly.

The Lahore High Court also restored the Punjab Cabinet.

Lahore High Court has issued notices to all the parties for January 11.

Pervez Elahi assured the court in the undertaking that he would not dissolve the assembly if restored.

In the hearing on Pervez Elahi’s petition against the removal of Chief Minister from the post of Chief Minister in Lahore High Court, Ali Zafar read out the undertaking of Pervez Elahi.

Speaker Punjab Assembly replies to the letter of Governor

It has been said by Parvez Elahi in the undertaking that if he is restored to the position of Chief Minister, he will not advise to dissolve the assembly.

Earlier, Barrister Ali Zafar argued that time is needed to give the undertaking, the court can restore the Chief Minister and order not to dissolve the Assembly itself.
