Khawar Maneka Accuses Imran Khan of Destroying His Home in the Name of Spiritual Devotion

Islamabad, Nov 20, 2023 – In a candid revelation, Khawar Maneka, the ex-husband of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi, has accused Khan of destroying their once-happy home under the guise of spiritual devotion, known as Pari Muridi.

In an exclusive interview on Geo News program ‘Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Ke Saath,’ Khawar Maneka disclosed that Imran Khan’s interactions with Bushra Bibi began during the sit-ins in Islamabad. The couple, who were married for 28 years, enjoyed a contented life until Khan allegedly intervened.

Maneka expressed, “Our life was very happy. Yes, Imran Khan has destroyed our home in the guise of Piri Mureedi.” He revealed that Bushra Bibi’s sister, Maryam Watto, played a pivotal role in their meetings with Imran Khan during dharna, stating that their marriage was initially blissful.

According to Maneka, Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi started their secret communication in Islamabad, facilitated by Farah Gogi, who provided them with undisclosed phone numbers. He claimed that his mother warned against Imran Khan, asserting that he was not a good person and should not be welcomed into their home.

Detailing the extent of the alleged interference, Maneka shared, “I had my own house in Bani Gala, but Bushra used to go to Imran Khan’s house without informing me. Imran Khan would also visit my house without my consent, causing resentment over his meetings with Pinky.”

Recalling a particular incident, Maneka stated, “Once Imran came to my house, and I had him escorted out with the help of a servant.” He claimed that neither he nor his children were aware of Bushra Bibi’s marriage to Imran Khan until it was reported by media outlets like Jio and The News.

Maneka revealed the timeline of their separation, stating that six months before the marriage, Bushra Bibi moved out of their shared residence in Pakpattan. Despite his attempts to reconcile, she reportedly responded, “Mian Sahib not yet.”

Furthermore, Maneka disclosed a message from Farah Gogi urging him to divorce Pinky (Bushra Bibi). When he confronted Bushra about it, she remained silent. Maneka asserted that he sent the divorce certificate to Bushra Bibi on November 14, 2017, but Farah Gogi later requested a change in the date, allegedly due to Imran Khan’s political aspirations.

The controversy surrounding Imran Khan’s involvement in Maneka’s marriage adds another layer to the ongoing political and personal dynamics within Pakistan’s political landscape.
