ISLAMABAD,May 2,2023- Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has responded to the request of the Supreme Court for the record of the proceedings of the National Assembly session.

Addressing the National Assembly session, Khawaja Asif said that the Supreme Court has asked for the record of the proceedings of our session.

He said that can we get the proceedings of the Supreme Court session which judge refused to hear the case? Mr. Speaker, write a letter to the Supreme Court and ask for the record of the judges’ meeting.

The Defense Minister further said that those asking us to negotiate should first resolve the issue by holding their own panchayats, it is not written anywhere in the constitution that they will hold panchayats.

He said that the tradition of taking the necks of prime ministers should end, we should protect our prime minister, regardless of which party he belongs to.b

Khawaja Asif also said that the assembly members have obtained millions of votes, our entire career is based on service.

He said that our neighboring institution has asked for the proceedings of the meeting.

Addressing the Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf, the Defense Minister said that you as a custodian write to the Supreme Court that we also need action.

He said that 15 men are sitting there fighting each other, the judiciary tells us to negotiate, negotiate first.

Khawaja Asif said that first set up panchayats in our homes, it is not their job to set up panchayats or give instructions, we have to defend our institution.

I ask how many judges were disqualified in the history of Pakistan. I think two judges were disqualified.

Khawaja Asif said that what will the Supreme Court do to clear its past? Khawaja Asif said that the judiciary should account for Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto case, Nawaz Sharif and Yusuf Raza Gilani’s incompetence.
