Imran Khan’s bail extended till March 27 in 5 cases

LAHORE, Mar 24, 2023- Lahore High Court has extended the protective bail of Imran Khan till March 27 in five cases of Islamabad.

Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Imran Khan appeared before the 2- member bench of the Lahore High Court for security bail.

The 2-member special bench comprising Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh and Justice Anwar Hussain of Lahore High Court is hearing the applications for Imran Khan’s protective bail in 5 cases of Islamabad.

During the hearing, Imran Khan’s lawyer gave arguments that the office had objected to filing the protective bail again, as the court had approved the protective bond till date. He further said, political cases have been made against Imran Khan in Islamabad, therefore the protective bond was again filed. There is a very small margin, he was asking for security so that they can go to Islamabad, Imran Khan did not get security.

Justice Tariq Salim said that show us the law that protective bail can be given again, so far there is no such decision in the past, nor is there a tradition that protective bail has been given again.
