LAHORE: Prime Minister Imran Khan performed the groundbreaking of a housing project at Raiwind on Thursday under Punjab Peri Urban Low Cost Housing scheme.

On the occasion, he was briefed about the project.

While addressing the inauguration ceremony of a low-cost housing scheme Prime Minister Imran Khan said, the upcoming two weeks are very important in our battle against the novel coronavirus,

He said that Pakistan was blessed in the first two Covid-19 waves but the third wave of the virus has proven to be deadly.

The Prime Minister was accompanied by Punjab Chief Usman Buzdar and Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib.

Promise for a “revolution” in agriculture sector

Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday promised to bring about a “revolution” in Pakistan’s agriculture sector.

The prime minister, speaking at an event in Lahore, spoke about the various sectors of Pakistan, including agriculture and tourism, that had been ignored by previous governments.

“First we were stabilising the economy but now, our entire focus is on agriculture,” he said. “I am leading it myself and I will prove to you by bringing about a major revolution in agriculture,” he added.
