Ibrahim Joyo’s son seeks change in legend scholar’s birth date
HYDERABAD Aug 12,2021 – Late Muhammad Ibrahim Joyo’s son has sought change in the date of birth of the Sindh’s legend scholar after four years of his death
The scholar’s son Mehboob Joyo has requested the Chief Secretary Sindh to correct the date of birth of his late father in the records.
Muhammad Ibrahim Joyo was a renowned scholar, writer and thinker. He died on November 9, 2017 at the age of 102 years. Mehboob Joyo younger son of late scholar stated in the petition that the actual date of birth of Muhammad Ibrahim Joyo is 22nd August 1915 but some hostile elements have written his birthday as 13th August.
As proofs Mehboob Joyo also attached the photocopies of old national identity card, computerized identity card, pension book, passport, Pakistan Senior Citizen Card and domicile.
He also asked the concerned authorities to write the correct date of birth of Late scholar i.e August 22 on his tombstone in Sindh University.

Ibrahim Joyo also remained member of board of governors of Sindhi Language Authority.
He has also asked the government to forward him the papers of project of mausoleum, its design as well as design of the inscription (Kutba) for his approval and suggestion.
He further said, besides, my permission may also be sought if any road, street, library etc is assigned the name of legend Ibrahim Joyo.
His books are being published by various publishers and organisations, they should be stopped from reprint and publishing the books without his permission, he concluded.
