Hyderabad gas cylinder explosion: 4 children dead, 52 undergoing treatment

Hyderabad, May 31,2024: A gas cylinder explosion in Hyderabad has resulted in the deaths of four children, with 52 people currently undergoing treatment.

According to reports, 48 of the injured were transferred to Civil Hospital Karachi for urgent medical care. Among the injured are several women and children.

In response to the tragedy, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Health Minister Azra Pechuho visited the Burns Ward to meet with the injured and oversee their treatment.

Chief Minister Shah directed the hospital administration to ensure the best possible care for the victims and remarked on the unfortunate nature of the incident, highlighting the ongoing gas shortage in Sindh.

Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori also visited Civil Hospital Karachi, emphasizing that no effort should be spared in saving the lives of the injured
