Govt decides to ban TLP

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan government has decided to ban Tehreek-e-Labbaik (TLP) under the Anti-Terrorism Act, said Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed here on Wednesday.
Addressing a press conference the Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid said that our efforts to persuade them (protesters) failed and added the Punjab government had recommended a ban on Tehreek-e-Labbaik.
Sheikh Rashid said that a summary in this regard is being moved to the cabinet.
However, said “We want consensus resolution in the assembly in this regard.”
He further said that a rifle was snatched from the police in Islamabad and they opened fire.
They (TLP) wanted such a draft that all the people of Europe should go back.
Sheikh Rashid said that the government stood on the agreement made with TLP, but they formulated different strategy.
