Ghotki court dismisses kidnapping case against Mahar brothers
GHOTKI, Apr 15,2023- The Ghotki court dismissed the kidnapping case against Mahar brothers – Sardar Ali Gohar Mahar, PPP MPA Raja Khan Mahar and former district chairman Sardar Haji Khan Mahar.
Lawyer Syed Qamber Ali Shah had filed a case against Mahar brothers for the kidnapping of his nephew Fida Abbas Shah.
The court dismissed the case after the police submitted a report that no evidence found to prove the allegations.
Some four months back, a case was registered against MPA Ali Gohar Mahar, his son Haji Khan Mahar, and MPA Ali Nawaz Khan Mahar aka Raja Khan Mahar and 20 persons.
On the complaint of Qamber Shah Kazmi at Ghotki A Section police station on the court order, a case was filed for the kidnapping of Nagar Syed Fida Abbas Shah.
The plaintiff took the stand that the accused including the MPA brothers attacked the house and kidnapped Fida Abbas Shah in the car with the intention of killing him.
The plaintiff said that the accused also threatened to withdraw from the case. Abdul Razzaq Mahar, who died 20 years ago, was also named as an accused in the case.
Later, after the kidnapping case of the boy Fida Abbas Shah, MPA Ali Gohar Khan Mahar, Raja Khan Mahar, former district chairman Haji Khan Mahar, the court granted interim bail for 7 days. Ali Gohar Khan Mahar, Raja Khan Mahar and Haji Khan Mahar appeared in the court of Additional Sessions Judge for bail. Their lawyers Saddam Chand and Jamshed Faiz Mako Marafat filed an application for bail. The court of the in-charge Sessions Judge Ghotki approved the interim bail of the three persons against one lakh rupees.
