Fire breaks out in firecrackers warehouse in Saddar

Four vehicles were burnt when fire broke out in a firecrackers warehouse in Saddar area here on Sunday. Four vehicles parked nearby were affected by the blaze. Police have also arrested one person.

According to the station officer, six fire brigade vehicles have brought the fire under control in time.

A fire broke out in a crackers warehouse located on an empty plot adjacent to the bus stand near Sea Breeze Hospital in Saddar.

Firecrackers exploded due to the fire, causing panic in the area.

As soon as the incident was reported, two vehicles of police, rangers and fire brigade reached the spot. Due to the severity of the fire, four more vehicles of fire brigade were also called.

Residents of the area say that a warehouse of firecrackers has been set up on the residential plot for the last three years against which no action has been taken so far.

The fire engulfed four nearby vehicles, but caused no casualties.
