Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry has claimed that all press clubs are supporting the Pakistan Media Development Authority bill.
Karachi Press Club President Fazil Jamili termed Fawad Chaudhry’s statement as untrue and said that he did not support the bill.
Lahore Press Club’s president Arshad Ansari termed the PMDA as unconstitutional and oppressive law against media freedom and demanded repeal of the bill.
Arshad Ansari said that Lahore Press Club stands with APNS, CPNE, PBA and PFUJ on this issue.
