ECP issues notices to Fawad Chaudhry and Azam Swati
ISLAMABAD Sep 16,2021- The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued notices to Federal Ministers Fawad Chaudhry and Azam Swati on allegations against the institution and sought evidence against them.
Sources said that the Election Commission has sought reply from both the ministers within seven days.
Sources said that the Election Commission issued notices to the federal ministers for levelling allegations against the Election Commission.
It should be noted that the federal ministers had leveled allegations against the ECP in the Senate Standing Committee on Parliamentary Affairs on the issue of electronic voting machines. The minister Swati accused the Election Commission of making fun of the government and seizing money.

He further said that the Election Commission was destroying the democracy of the country.
Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja had called an emergency meeting to express his anger over the allegations leveled by Azam Swati against the Election Commission of Pakistan.
