Earthquake shakes Pakistan and India

ISLAMABAD, Feb 04,2022- Pakistan and India have been shaken by the earthquake on Saturday morning.

Earthquake tremors have been felt in various cities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir in the upper parts of the country including Punjab.

This morning Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sargodha, Multan, Mandi Bahauddin, Toba Tek Singh, Mianwali, Skardu, Muzaffarabad, Peshawar, Mardan, Swat, Mansehra, Buner, Swabi, Lower Dir, Bajaur were shaken by earthquake. The quake affected small towns and villages in the country, including Malakand, Nowshera and North Waziristan.

According to Indian media, tremors were also felt in various areas including Occupied Kashmir, Indian capital New Delhi, Uttar Pradesh city of Noida.

According to the Seismological Center, the magnitude of the quake was 5.9 with the epicenter in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan, while the quake had a depth of 210 km.
