Murad increases grant for Jinnah Medical University

KARACHI, Feb 03,2022- Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah held a meeting with Executive Director of JPMC and Acting Vice Chancellor of Jinnah Sindh Medical University Prof. Shahid Rasool.

Prof. Shahid Rasool apprised the Chief Minister of Sindh about the problems of JPMC and Jinnah University.

Chief Minister Sindh directed the Executive Director that a system of robotic surgery should be set up in the hospital Jinnah, and newly arrived surgeons should be trained in robotic surgery.

Sindh Chief Minister said, “I want robotic surgery system to be extended to all district hospitals.”

Sindh Chief Minister approved increase in grant of Jinnah Medical University and directed to fill the shortage of JPEC management and clinical staff and added to call a meeting of Senate and Academic Council of the university and solve the problems, He also directed to appoint members to complete the syndicate.

JSMU made focal university for private medical colleges

Chief Minister Sindh has directed to recruit Grade 1 to 16 employees on contingency to meet the shortage of JPMC staff.

The shortage of assistant professors and professors should be filled from Jinnah Medical University, Sindh Chief Minister added.
