Corruption rises in Pakistan: Transparency International

Transparency International has released the Corruption Perceptions Index of 180 countries, according to which corruption in Pakistan has further increased.

According to Transparency International’s Corruption Perception Index, Pakistan has moved up 16 places in the Corruption Perceptions Index.

According to Transparency International, after this increase in corruption, Pakistan is ranked 140th in the world, in 2020 it was ranked 124th.

According to Transparency International, Pakistan’s score in the Corruption Perceptions Index has dropped by 3 points.

Transparency International says police, judiciary are most corrupt institutions

Transparency International further states that Pakistan’s score in the Corruption Perceptions Index in 2020 was 31, which has now risen to 28.

It should be noted that lower score of Corruption Perception Index indicates increase in corruption.

PPP leader Sherry Rehman has said that the government claiming to eradicate corruption has left 16 countries behind in corruption.

In her message on social networking site Twitter, Sherry Rehman said that Transparency International’s Corruption Perception Index is a charge sheet against this government.

Sherry Rehman said that accountability is only for targeting the opponents, now the international institutions are covering up the corruption of this government.
