CM sitting on summary of Hyd University: PTI alleges

KARACHI, April 19: Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf vice president and the leader of opposition in Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh and MQM Pakistan parliamentary leader Kanwar Naveed said that Sindh Chief Minister was sitting on the summary of much needed Hyderabad University.

Addressing a press conference at Sindh Assembly, Monday, PTI and MQM leaders said that Sindh has been given more than Rs8780 billion but only development in Sindh is so far seen in “corruption sector” he alleged and said the provincial government has even failed to give basic facilities to citizens.

Haleem Adil said the charter of this university had already been passed, but the chief minister of Sindh is sitting on this summary. He said the federal government has already allocated Rs1.7 billion for the Hyderabad University.

He said since the powers to run the universities of Sindh have transferred to the chief minister, corruption is increased in them and added the transfers and postings of VCs are made against money.
