New academic year in Sindh to start from April 1

ISLAMABAD Jul 28,2021- The federal education ministry on Wednesday, has decided not to extend the closure of educational institutions. Acting Federal Secretary Education Asif Haider said that it has been decided at a meeting.

The Acting Secretary Education Asif Haider chaired a meeting, while the provincial secretaries education participated in it through video links.

The meeting unanimously decided that the holidays of educational institutions would not be extended.

The secretaries meeting further decided that the examinations of all the educational boards would continue as per schedule.

The meeting agreed to open the schools under corona virus’s SOPs.

It was also agreed at the meeting that all provinces would take their own decisions according to the corona virus rate in their respective areas.

Due to abnormal rise in COVID-19 cases the Sindh government took strict measure after Eid and decided to closure of schools and marriage halls. However the government said it will decide about the opening of educational institutions on Friday.
