Cabinet committee on missing persons to hold meeting weekly

ISLAMABAD, June 23,2022- The Cabinet sub-committee on missing persons decided to convene every week.

Senator Azam Nazir Tarar said that all school of thoughts would be heard in the forthcoming meetings of the committee and suggestions would also be sought from the provincial level.

A meeting of the Cabinet Sub-Committee on Missing Persons was held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Law and Justice, Senator Azam Nazir Tarar.

The meeting was also attended by Federal Minister Shazia Murree, Federal Minister for Science and Technology Agha Hassan Baloch and Federal Minister for Defense Production Israr Tareen, while senior officials from the Ministry of Law and Ministry of Home Affairs also attended the meeting.

Federal Minister for Science and Technology Agha Hassan Baloch said, “We hope this committee will recover the missing persons. It is very difficult for parents who do not know whereabouts of their children.”

Senator Azam Nazir Tarar said that the committee would not only work on the issue of missing persons but also the results would come out in practice.

He said that Farhatullah Babar would be specially invited to the next meeting of the committee and Amna Masood Janjua would also be invited to attend the meeting.
