The polling time for the by-elections in eight constituencies of the National Assembly of Sindh, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and three constituencies of the Punjab Assembly has ended.
By-elections are being held on National Assembly seats from Karachi, Multan, Faisalabad, Nankana, Peshawar, Mardan and Charsadda.
Video of Samar Biloure goes viral
In Peshawar, Awami National Party (ANP) leader Ms Samar Biloure casting her vote has gone viral on social media, violating the Election Commission’s code of conduct.
Samar Biloure says that her video was made by the worker and she shared it on social media.
She says that she did not know that sharing the video is a violation of the code of conduct of the Election Commission.
Samar Biloure also said that the video was deleted when the election rules were found out.
The Election Commission took notice of the viral video
The Election Commission took notice of the viral video of ANP leader Samar Biloure regarding casting her vote.
According to the Election Commission spokesperson, a report has been sought from the District Returning Officer and the Returning Officer on this issue.
The spokesperson of the Election Commission says that making the video of voting falls under the category of violation of the election rules.
Karachi: Clash between 2 political parties, PTI leader injured
A clash between the workers of two political parties took place in Malir area.
According to SSP Malir, PTI’s Bilal Ghaffar has been shifted to the hospital with injuries.
Police say that it is too early to say who carried out the attack, the investigation is ongoing and action will be taken against the accused.
IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon said that an investigation has been ordered on the case of Bilal Ghaffar, legal action will be taken against those responsible.
