Body found in a cargo drum
KARACHI Oct 01,2021- The body was recovered from a plastic drum at goods transport base on GT Road in Peshawar was identified. The CCPO Peshawar said it is body of Umer Farooq who was abducted from Sachal area of Karachi.
Umer Farooq was abducted by his friend and demanded a ransom of Rs 10 million, later was killed and his body was sent to Kabul by truck.
Significant progress has been made in the case of sending the body to Afghanistan in a plastic drum, CCPO Peshawar said.
CCPO Peshawar Abbas Ahsan said that the person who sent the body to Afghanistan through goods transport has also been traced. A man named Sultan Khan had booked a container for Juma Khan in Kabul on September 1.

According to the police, the owner of the transport base has been interrogated and they are in touch with the Karachi police to arrest the accused.
On the other hand, Rangers Sindh spokesman said that Rangers conducted an operation in Peshawar and recovered the body of the slain Umer.

Omar Farooq, 20, was killed by his Afghan friend Gul Rehman. The accused dumped the body in a drum.
The accused sent the drum cargo via Peshawar to Afghanistan, added Rangers spokesman.
The Rangers spokesman said there were reports that Gul Rehman had fled Afghanistan, while a close associate of the accused had been arrested for aiding and abetting the murder.
